Welcome to the first edition of Montal’s new quarterly newsletter.

Over the past year, the economic downturn has presented many organisations with exceptional challenges. Luckily, IT is able to provide one of the principle methods of reducing cost and increasing productivity, so I am pleased to say that assisting customers to achieve such goals has allowed us to see growth.

Cloud computing, which is the delivery of IT via the internet, has become a major topic, with organisations like Google revolutionising the way in which IT and communication are being delivered. These are concepts so compelling and powerful that industry giants like Microsoft have had to change their own business models in order to remain competitive. The race is now on to see who will dominate in this new era. The implications will significantly impact every one of us, at home as well as at work.

Delivering service via the Cloud has started to transform the way in which Montal provides support, with particular emphasis on the delivery of Managed Services. These services are designed to complement internal expertise, improve IT performance and maximise security whilst also ensuring that most aspects of IT compliance are achieved. For example, Fix-Before-Failure services are now a reality and other traditional problem areas such as email management, internet control and data storage can be easily and cost effectively resolved.
