The Organisation
Family business FH Brundle is the UK's leading supplier of wrought iron, mesh and other steel products. The organisation operates based on a historic commitment to its key commercial values of courteous service, attention to detail, quality and rapid turnaround - all delivered through six strategically-placed distribution centres and its own distinctive fleet of Brundle lorries.
For FH Brundle, as for any SME, getting the best possible return on key business investments is an important part of ensuring that the organisation is operating at its absolute best and able to maintain its core values. IT solutions therefore have to deliver optimum business functionality at a minimum cost.
The Business Need
In late 2008, FH Brundle was facing a number of urgent business issues relating to their organisation's email management that weren't being resolved by their solution provider. When the contract came up for renewal, IT Manager David West saw an opportunity to seek out an alternative that could meet all their needs in one, complete package.
Effective email archiving was a real priority, as the organisation needed to store all sent and received emails for a twelve-month period.
